MAKE YOUR GIFT TO SUPPORT THE N.C. CHILDREN'S PROMISE

Gifts to the N.C. Children's Promise—encompassing all annual giving efforts toward the children’s hospital—may be directed in a number of ways. Gifts designated to specific program areas, such as supporting the neonatal intensive care unit or purchasing a much-needed piece of equipment for our cardiac care unit, provide tremendous resources for our hospital in both inpatient and outpatient venues. However, some of the most valuable gifts are those that are unrestricted and can be applied to the areas where the need is greatest. Regardless of the type of gift—from unrestricted to those supporting specific projects—support through the NC Children’s Promise is ensuring that North Carolina Children’s Hospital will continue providing outstanding care for generations to come.

Gifts can be made in the following ways:

Individual Giving
Individual gifts can be made by immediately by credit card, check, or cash. Individuals may also donate gifts of stock, make a pledge, create an automatic bank draft, or participate in their company’s matching gift program.

Planned Giving
Planned gifts include, but aren’t limited to, gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, pooled income funds, and charitable trusts, etc.

Individuals who document their planned gift to N.C. Children’s Promise/N.C. Children’s Hospital are welcomed as members of both the W. Reece Berryhill Society of The Medical Foundation and the Gerrard Society of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. These two societies recognize the hundreds of alumni and friends who have remembered Carolina through planned gifts and members are recognized in University publications and occasional special events.

For more information on making a planned gift or including N.C. Children’s Hospital in your will, please contact Crystal Hinson Miller at 919.966.5812 or email hinsonmiller@med.unc.edu.
